Why am I receiving an invoice months after I crossed a tolled bridge?<\/h2>\n

RiverLink has transitioned to a new toll service provider. Part of this transition included the holding of video transactions from April 1, 2023 to Sept 1, 2023. As the new toll service provider works through this backlog, customers can expect to receive invoices for transactions that occurred up to 6 months prior.<\/p>\n

RiverLink Fee Forgiveness<\/a> is available to qualifying drivers. Tolls are rolled back to transponder rates and any late fees are waived when a customer opens a prepaid account. Savings can be substantial with customers in passenger vehicles seeing toll rates cut in half. The RiverLink Fee Forgiveness offer is available once per license plate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When can I expect to receive an invoice?<\/h2>\n

Unpaid crossings in a vehicle will trigger an invoice. Any additional trips for the next 15 days are collected, and then an invoice is mailed for those crossings that go unpaid. The first RiverLink invoice includes only tolls owed. The bill should be paid by the due date to avoid additional fees.<\/p>\n

Additional crossings after the initial invoice will be billed in subsequent invoice with any other previously unpaid tolls and\/or fees.<\/p>\n

Invoices are mailed to the address of the registered owner of the vehicle. For this reason, it is important for vehicle owners to keep their personal information up-to-date with the department of motor vehicles or bureau of motor vehicles.

No. If you wish to pay a toll before receiving an invoice, you can use the Pay by Plate feature on our website. You will need to supply the license plate number and last six digits of the vehicle identification number (VIN). Or you can pay by calling customer service or visiting a customer service center.<\/p>\n

Customers who do not pay their tolls will be charged additional fees and may face restrictions on vehicle registration until tolls and fees are paid. Other enforcement mechanisms, such as collections or legal action, may be taken to help ensure all drivers pay their fair share.

How do I remove a hold on my vehicle registration?<\/h2>\n

To remove a vehicle registration hold, all tolls and fees owed must be paid in full. Payment must be made directly to RiverLink and CANNOT be accepted by the IN BMV, the KY MVL or a County Clerk\u2019s Office in Kentucky.<\/p>\n

Shortly after tolls are paid, RiverLink will notify the IN BMV or KY MVL to release the hold on the registration.
