Drivers should pay tolls and fees owed to avoid moving to collections
Unpaid RiverLink accounts are moving to collections. This helps ensure all drivers enjoying the benefits of a faster commute using the tolled bridges are paying their fair share.
Perdue Brandon, the collections agency the Joint Board identified in 2022, will begin sending notices on May 1. Notices will be sent to customers who have four unpaid monthly bills for the same crossing(s). Customers can avoid moving to collections by paying tolls and fees owed.
The best way for drivers to see if they owe tolls is to visit RiverLink.com. Simply click on the button on the homepage that reads “See if You Owe.” Drivers will need a bill or their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and license plate number. They will also find more information regarding the collections process and answers to frequently asked questions.
Collections are an important enforcement tool to make sure every driver is paying for their crossings.
RiverLink Fee Forgiveness
To save money, eligible drivers can take advantage of RiverLink Fee Forgiveness before their account moves to collections. Fees are waived and tolls are lowered to transponder rates if customers open a prepaid RiverLink account and get a transponder.
Eligible drivers can enroll for RiverLink Fee Forgiveness when they go online to pay tolls by clicking the option to “Update to a Personal Transponder Account.” Customer service representatives can also assist at the walk-up centers in downtown Louisville and Jeffersonville or by phone. Savings can be significant.
What to Expect
Collection notices will be sent gradually to ensure customer service teams can provide timely, quality assistance to every customer who reaches out.
Drivers will receive notices for unpaid tolls and fees dating back to April 2023 when the transition to the current toll provider started. A collections notice will include all outstanding tolls and fees to date.
Notifications from Perdue Brandon will be made by text, email, and mail. It’s important for customers receiving a collections notice to note the address for payment. It’s included with payment instructions.
